Welcome to Sunny in Korea!
When people think of travel, they often think of packing bags and flying off to a foreign country.
But ever since I became a season pass holder at Sokcho Lotte Resort Water Park 7 years ago—starting back in 2020 during COVID-19 when local pools were closed—I realized I did not need to go anywhere else.
I have been swimming for 35 years and love staying active.
Swimming here, looking out at the beautiful ocean view, and enjoying the great facilities always makes me feel like I am at a wonderful resort abroad.
Today, I want to share a complete, practical guide based on my 7 years of real experience, covering everything from water park prices and rules to useful insider tips.
1. Getting In: The Smart Wristband System and Prices

| Electronic Wristband |
When you arrive, head to the front desk on the 2nd basement floor (B2). After paying your admission fee, you will receive an electronic wristband. This single band is your key to everything inside:
Shoe Locker & Entrance Gate: Tap your band to open your shoe locker and pass through the entrance gates.
Locker Room: Use the band to lock and unlock your main locker in the changing room.
Payment Function: Inside the water park, you cannot use cash or cards directly. You need to prepay and charge money onto your band at the front desk. When you leave, you just settle any remaining balance.
1-Year Season Pass Prices (2026):
As someone who has renewed my pass for 7 years, here is the current membership pricing for those interested:
Existing Members: 1,200,000 KRW
New Members: 1,500,000 KRW (Note: Prices may change in future years, so it is always good to check.)
Current Admission Rates (Indoor Only):
Because outdoor facilities are temporarily closed for canopy construction until November 30, 2026, admission fees are adjusted to a more reasonable price:
Adults: Weekdays 50,000 KRW / Weekends and Holidays 55,000 KRW
Children: Weekdays 40,000 KRW / Weekends and Holidays 45,000 KRW
2. Essential Preparation: Dress Code and Aqua Shoes
Before you take a shower and enter the water park area, please keep these mandatory rules in mind:
Swimwear / Rash Guard: You must wear proper swimwear or a rash guard. Casual clothes are not allowed in the pool.
Aqua Shoes: Aqua shoes are strictly mandatory for safety and hygiene. Please make sure to bring your own pairs before you visit!
Shower Amenities: Clean shower facilities are provided with hot and cold baths, plus shampoo, body wash, and body towels. You only need your personal skincare items.
3. Indoor Water Park Facilities and Attraction Tips
The water park is spread across the 2nd basement (B2) and 1st basement (B1) floors, offering plenty of fun for both adults and children.
Basement 2 (Main Indoor Zone):
This floor features the wave pool, multi-pool, kids' pool, bade pool (great for water massages), and the exciting Rocket Blaster slide.
Lazy River Tip: There is a lazy river where water flows continuously. If it is your first time trying to walk or run against the current, it can be a bit tricky to keep your balance, so take it easy!
Outdoor Note: Please note that outdoor facilities (like the infinity bade pools, spas, and slides) are closed until November 30, 2026, due to canopy construction.
Basement 1 (Infinity Pool and Wellness Zone):
This is home to two large, stunning infinity pools with magnificent ocean views. There are also warm maintenance rooms kept at 43°C to 45°C, where you can soak up the warmth while looking out at the sea.
Helpful Attraction Tips:
Free Life Jacket Rental: You will need a life jacket to enter the wave pool. You can rent them for free right at the venue.
Alternating Attraction Schedule: The water park operates popular attractions on an hourly schedule.
Even Hours (e.g., 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM): Wave pool and surfing time.
Odd Hours (e.g., 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM): Rocket Blaster slide time.
4. After the Water Park: Sokcho Lotte Resort Jjimjilbang
After having a great time in the water park, moving on to a traditional Korean Jjimjilbang (sauna and healing rooms) is the best way to wrap up your day.
Since I already shared a detailed guide about the Sokcho Lotte Resort Jjimjilbang—including its 6 unique theme rooms, massage chairs, and delicious snacks—please check my previous blog post for the full story and tips!
5. Easy Access and Official Information
If you are traveling by public transportation, take an express bus to the Sokcho Express Bus Terminal. From the terminal, it is only a 5-minute taxi ride to Lotte Resort, and there are wonderful walking paths around the area to enjoy.
For any further details, exact schedules, or additional information, please refer to the official Sokcho Lotte Resort website.
Whether you want a nice swim, a relaxing soak with an ocean view, or a peaceful weekend, Sokcho Lotte Resort Water Park is a wonderful place to visit.
