Opened in July 2024, this relatively new walking trail has quickly become a popular place for both visitors and local residents. During the day, it is a peaceful valley walking course surrounded by the scenery of Seoraksan. After sunset, colorful lights and media art transform the area into a completely different atmosphere.
I visited Seorak Hyanggi-ro about a month ago. After dinner, I went there simply for an evening walk. As the sky became darker, the lights gradually came on, and the quiet mountain valley changed into a beautiful night space filled with light. It was a memorable experience, and I especially recommend visiting after sunset.

If you visit Seoraksan and Sinheungsa Temple, you do not have to return to downtown Sokcho immediately. After exploring the temple, consider continuing to Seorak Hyanggi-ro for a relaxed evening walk.
I especially recommend visiting after dinner, when the lights begin to appear. It is a nice way to slow down after a busy day of sightseeing and experience a quieter side of Seoraksan.
If you enjoy nature and want to stay near Seoraksan, the nearby Sokcho City-operated camping site can also be a convenient option for spending more time in the area.
